The 2024 Jeep Gladiator offers the brand’s best off-roading capabilities with a versatile truck bed, ready to accompany you on your next adventure on the toughest trails in Altoona.

Specialized Power and Traction

Navigating loose ground needs serious engine power and traction. The Gladiator’s answer is its 3.6L Pentastar V6, which produces 285 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque and improves efficiency with technology such as Engine Stop/Start. Its power output can also be channeled to tow 7,700 lbs and haul 1,725 lbs across inhospitable landscapes. An engaging 6-speed manual transmission is standard to manage the engine’s power delivery.

Traction is enhanced by the 4×4 drivetrain and the Tru-Lok Electronic Locking Differentials that feature 4Hi mode to lock in the rear axle at high speeds. If your plans are more vertical, the Rubicon trim features Rock-Trac, a specialized 4×4 system that gives the Gladiator a 4:1 low-range transfer case and a better crawl ratio to scale steep hills.

Trail-Ready Suspension

The Gladiator features a leading link front suspension to climb over obstacles by allowing the wheels to move up and down instead of getting pushed back. Choosing the Mojave trim will give the truck FOX aluminum 2.5-inch shocks with improved damping control, and FOX hydraulic jounce bumpers that prevent the suspension from reaching its maximum compression. Additionally, the sway bar disconnect allows each wheel to move more independently when tackling tougher terrains.

Resilient Design

The Gladiator can climb over fallen tree trunks and hold back intrusive sand with its superior build quality. Your truck’s rigid undercarriage can absorb a few blows, and features Dana 44 front and rear axles that come with thick tubing and metal hardware for extreme durability. However, the Gladiator is unlikely to hit anything underneath thanks to the 44.7-degree approach angle, 20.9-degree ramp angle, 26-degree departure angle, 17-inch wheels, and 11.6-inch ground clearance.

Steel rock rails protect the cabin and bed from all sides, so you can climb steep surfaces more confidently. If your planned adventure is on the other side of the river, the Gladiator’s high air intake and water-sealed design will enable you to cross streams that are up to 31.5 inches deep.

Advanced Off-Road Technology

Crossing rugged terrain needs intelligence as much as muscle, which is why the Gladiator features an available TrailCam Off-Road Camera to detect obstacles and the available Off-Road+ button to optimize throttle, traction, and transmission for the current terrain conditions.
