Avoiding A Tire Blowout

There are a number of reasons why a tire blowout can occur and not all of them are your fault. However, avoiding a tire blowout can sometimes be achieved by following a few simple tasks that will keep you safe and other people on the road safe as well.
  • Most vehicles these days come with sensors on each of the tires that will alert you if one or more of your tires are in need of air. If you know one of your tires are underinflated, fill it up as soon as possible to avoid a blowout.
  • If you need to load your vehicle up with a lot of cargo or are going to be hooking something up to your trailer hitch, don't overload and go over what your vehicle is recommended for.
  • Avoid major debris on the road including potholes which can be an immediate danger to your tires.
